Smartprix and OnLeaks just dropped some cool visuals of what they’re calling the Google Pixel Fold 2.
Google Pixel Fold 2 Specs Rumor
The Pixel Fold 2 is shaping up to be quite the device. Inside, it’s got a 7.9-inch screen that actually feels a bit bigger at 8.1 inches when you count the screen’s curved edges. When you unfold this bad boy, it measures up to about 6.1 by 5.9 by 0.2 inches. The screen on the outside is not too shabby either, at around 6.4 inches, or 6.6 inches if we’re being generous and including the curves. Fold it up, and it compacts down to about 6.1 by 3.0 by 0.4 inches.
One of the coolest things you’ll notice is the camera setup on the back. Instead of stacking the cameras on top of each other, they’re laid out side by side in two pill-shaped sections, complete with a few camera lenses, a mic, and a flash.
Under the hood, this gadget is rumored to pack some serious power with a Tensor G4 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. It’s expected to come with Android 14 right out of the gate and receive updates for seven years, putting it on par with Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in terms of software longevity.
Apple’s also in the race with its own foldable iPhone ideas, but it sounds like they’re playing catch-up. Word on the street is they’ve got a couple of flip-phone designs in the pipeline, but nothing ready to go yet. They’re aiming for a 2026 release, which would be quite the feat considering the challenges they’re facing.
