How do I update my device to the latest version of the Android OS?

Ever since the first Android phone was released in 2008, it has become one of the most popular operating systems for mobile devices. As a result of its popularity, there are many different versions available and each update brings new features and improvements to your device.

Android OS updates are a great way to improve the performance of your device. By updating your device, you will be able to get the latest features and fixes that Google has come out with.

A lot of people who use Android devices are still on outdated versions and don’t know how to update to a newer version. This can lead to security issues and performance problems with your device.

The process is easy but there are some things you can do before hand so make sure to read on!

  • Check to see if your device is eligible for the latest Android OS
  • If your device is not eligible, check with the manufacturer about updates
  • Go to Settings > About Phone/Tablet > System Updates
  • Tap on “Check Now” and follow the prompts
  • You may need to connect your phone or tablet to a Wi-Fi network in order for an update to download 
  • Once downloaded, tap on “Install now” and follow the prompts 
  • Reboot your phone or tablet when prompted by tapping on “Restart now”
