Xiaomi has pulled the curtains off its latest folding phone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 which is set to be released on August 14, 2023.

The foldable device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is a powerful and efficient processor commonly found in high-end smartphones.
The new phone will also feature a periscope camera, which allows for higher-quality zoom and improved photo capture. The device will also come with a waterproof body, though the details of its waterproof rating are currently unknown and will depend on the results of tests carried out prior to its release.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 3 is rumored to feature an under-display selfie camera (UDC) on its primary OLED screen. This means that the camera will be hidden beneath the display, providing a seamless and uninterrupted viewing experience.

Design and Size
- The Mix Fold 3’s design is similar to folding phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Google Pixel Fold.
- Its notebook-like folding design makes it look unique, but it’s only available in the Chinese market for now.
- When it comes to thickness, the Mix Fold 3 is pretty sleek. It’s 10.86mm thick when folded and 5.26mm when opened. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is 13.4mm thick, and the Pixel Fold is 12.1mm thick.
- Xiaomi has also improved the folding mechanism, introducing a “Micro Waterdrop hinge,” making it slimmer and lighter. Even Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 uses a similar hinge.

- Unlike the tall and narrow Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Mix Fold 3 has a relatively wider body and cover.

- The outer display boasts a 2,520×1,080 pixel resolution and 2600 nits brightness, while the main one has a 2,160×1,916 pixel resolution.
